Misunderstandings about resveratrol purity
Resveratrol is being extracted commercially from Polygonum Cuspidatum and the level of extraction is what should be considered. 10%, 20%,30%, 50%, 98%, 99%? This is very important. The cost of extracting purified resveratrol from the Polygonum Cuspidatum goes up disproportionately as the higher purity levels are reached. We can source the lower purity levels for a mere fraction of the cost of the higher purity levels.
Most capsule sellers state that their resveratrol is obtained from Polygonum Cuspidatum and that the capsules contain "pure" Polygonum Cuspidatum . They omit to mention what purity of resveratrol is contained within the Polygonum Cuspidatum
Also, all the different fillers that are being used in capsules (some of which nevertheless may have some benefit) cost a mere fraction of high purity resveratrol.
Consuming the food that contains resveratrol whether it is grapes, peanuts or mulberries only delivers a very small level of resveratrol.
A low content of resveratrol is not going to give the beneficial results being hyped about by most capsule sellers and as indicated necessary from the Harvard Medical School reports. According to all the latest scientific research you need to be looking at consumption of 500mg per day of 98% purity (or 1 gram per day of 50% purity.)
