1. What conditions is your powder produced under?
A. It comes from a top quality approved and inspected Asian source from locally grown Giant Knotweed. The manufacturing facility is one of a number of modern scientific laboratories owned by an established pharmaceutical group under GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice)

2. What qualifications does the staff have?

A. The facility has a large number of highly qualified scientists including many doctors and professors

3. I am in the USA which requires food imports to come from FDA registered suppliers. Does the manufacturing facility have FDA registration?
A. Yes, the manufacturing facility is registered with the FDA but to avoid the red tape of having to register ourselves as a food supplier for this purpose with the US authorities we only supply to US buyers where the package is marked as "for research and analysis purposes only" and we only supply to US buyers willing to buy under this condition of sale.

4. What percentage of emodin is in the powder?
A. The 50% powder has <2% and the 98% powder has <0.05%

5. I have seen some powder being offered that is brown and some white. Why is this?
A. The powder is brown at 50% and the 98% is white.

5. If I take the powder instead of capsules is the taste pleasant?
A. The 98% white powder is smooth, bland and quite tasteless and is therefore quite pleasant to take in powder form but the brown 50% powder is gritty and bitter and needs to be taken with fruit juice or something to hide the unpleasant taste and texture.

6. How does the powder compare to the quantity of resveratrol in red wine or mulberries for example?
A. A bottle of red wine contains about 1mg of resveratrol. So to achieve 500mg per day as indicated by the Harvard Medical School research you would need to drink 500 bottles of wine per day. Obviously not a practical choice.

7. If I take the 50% powder should I just double the dose to equate with the 98%.
A. Yes.
